Rooball is a Soccer Australia Junior Development game for children 6-9 years old. The aim of Rooball is to give young girls and boys the maximum opportunity to participate in soccer, the world’s most popular sport.
Rooball is kids soccer. That is, they play on smaller fields with less players, fewer rules and modified equipment. As a result, there are more goals and a lot more fun.

The girls U10 comp is managed by Capital Football, U8 and U9 comps are managed by the participating clubs, in our case Woden, Tuggeranong and Weston.
Playing age is generally based on the calendar year ie. children turning 6 in 2004 can play in the U6 age group. Sometimes younger players may also be accepted at the discretion of the club eg. a child turning 5 who is attending Primary school (not Pre-School). Also, girls playing in mixed teams may choose to play a year down eg. an U7 girl may decide to play in an U6 mixed team. Please check with a coordinator if you have special requests like this.
Location of Games All mixed Rooball games are played on Saturday mornings at Waramanga. Girls Rooball games are played on a rotational basis.
Note:
If there is sufficent interest an ALL Girls competetion for U9 is organised between Woden and Tuggerangong Clubs on a home/away basis.
Please see the Junior Registration page for More details and a form.
There will be a meeting at the Waramanga Playing Fields for rooball players (and parents) to get together to finalise the placement of players into teams, meet teammates, appoint coaches/managers, name or rename the teams as necessary, and purchase (or sell) second hand boots etc.
